Film Heritage Foundation presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. Ray Edmondson

Film Heritage Foundation presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. Ray Edmondson, described as the moving spirit behind the establishment of the National Film Sound and Archive of Australia. The award was presented to Dr. Edmondson by the superstar Nagarjuna and S.S. Rajamouli, acclaimed director of the blockbuster “Baahubali at the opening ceremony of Film Preservation & Restoration Workshop India 2019 on Sunday, December 08th, 2019 at the State Gallery of Art, Hyderabad.

“For his pioneering work in preserving a nation’s audiovisual heritage and for a lifetime dedicated to championing the cause of the preservation of the moving image through seminal writings setting global standards and guidelines for archiving, inspirational teaching and for his ceaseless advocacy to ensure the survival of film patrimonies around the world.”
