Film Heritage Foundation presented an Outstanding Achievement Award to Michael Jeffery Newnham, a member of our faculty, for his extraordinary life’s work as a film doctor, for his commitment in taking on leadership roles in various archival bodies around the world and for his work in researching, publishing, teaching and laying down the guidelines for the preservation of our moving image legacy for future archivists and restorers. The award was presented to Mick Newnham by acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam at the FPRWI 2017 opening ceremony.
