Film Heritage Foundation presented the ‘Champions of Film Heritage Award’ to Johnson Rajkumar for laying the foundation to building a film archive in Manipur. The award was presented by David Walsh, Training & Outreach Coordinator, FIAF, and renowned actor Boman Irani at the opening ceremony of the 7th Film Preservation & Restoration Workshop India 2022 on Sunday, December 04th, 2022 at Regal Cinema, Mumbai.
“For his selfless commitment and courage in taking the road less travelled with limited support and resources and taking on the challenge of sparking a movement for film preservation and laying the foundation to building a film archive and training archivists in his home state of Manipur.”
