Film Heritage Foundation is proud to announce the release of its second publication “Yesterday’s Films For Tomorrow” by PK Nair on April 6, 2017.
P K Nair was India’s foremost film archivist who dedicated his life to preserving India’s cinematic heritage for posterity. Now, for the first time, Nair’s own writings on cinema have been brought together in one volume published by Film Heritage Foundation.
This book is a remembrance of a person who was obsessed with not just the stories that cinema told, but with all its facets—the form, function and the ephemera of the moving image. He was a collector, a cinephile, a historian, an archivist, an evangelist, a teacher and a student of cinema—all of which is reflected in this compilation of his writings.
Price: Rs 750 / $14.99
All proceeds from the sale of the book will go towards supporting the foundation’s activities.
